O2.1 A pH meter failed causng acid dosing pumps to operate continuously, causing 5.5ML of water with a pH of less than 6.5 to be discharged into the Coxs River. Low pH discharge was quickly dilluted by slightly alkaline river waters. Penalty Notice issued 1
L1.1 Following structural damage to a cooling tower, a discharge of water was made to the Coxs River at an unauthorised discharge point. No adverse effects. To avoid recurrance, we increased inspection frequency of the structural integrity of the towers Appropriate Action taken by licensee 1
