Munmorah Power Station Closure Plan

Licence Condition
The licensee must prepare and submit a closure plan to the EPA for the premises which includes actions to manage ongoing impacts of the inlet and outlet cooling water canals and the Munmorah ash dam reservoir. The plan must be prepared by an appropriately qualified and experienced person and include, but is not limited to: (a) specifying the steps taken (or to be taken) in closing, stablising or rehabilitating the premises; and (b) providing justification for the proposed steps identified in (a) including future use of the site; and (c) providing a post-closure monitoring and maintenance program; and (d) providing an implementation timetable. The plan must be provided to the EPA Manager Hunter Region by 30 June 2014 in legible format as one hard copy to PO Box 488G Newcastle NSW 2300 and in digital form to hunter.region@epa.nsw.gov.au.
