Licence number: 20794
Title: Evaluation of the current sediment basin management
Start date: 23 Jun 2020

Licence Condition
PART A. Status of the sediment basins the quarry at the time of the inspection.   The consultant is to conduct a site inspection and document the status of the sediment basins at the quarry at the time of the inspection. The inspection is to establish the information as detailed below.   The report must document: 1.      The current surface area of disturbed land at the quarry at the time of the inspection. 2.      The current surface area of the immediate catchment of sediment basins 1. 3.      The exact dimensions of the sediment basins 1 at the time of the inspection. 4.      The volume of the sediment basins 1 at the time of the inspection. 5.      The length of the spillway the sediment basins 1.
PART B. Design of the sediment basins The report must specify the appropriate value for the criteria listed below in relation to design of the sediment basins by referencing the guideline Managing Urban Stormwater Soils and Construction: Volume 1 and Volume 2 E. Mines and quarries:   1.      The design dimensions for the spillway of the sediment basins 1. 2.      The design volume of sediment storage zone of the sediment basin 1. 3.      The design volume of the settling volume of the Sediment basin 1 4.      The design volume and dimensions of Sediment basin 1. 5.      The design value of the vertical distance of the position of the sedimentation basin marker in relation to the overflow level.   The  U1 report is to be submitted to the EPA by 20 July 2020.
The PRP  requires a detailed report to be prepared by a suitably qualified  environmental consultant to evaluate the current sediment basin management in terms of: compliance to the EPL meeting the design and operational standards of Managing Urban Stormwater Soils and Construction: Volume 1 and Volume 2 E. Mines and quarries (the Blue Book).
