Licence Condition
The licensee must conduct an assessment of the efficacy of effluent disinfection at the premises. The assessment must be conducted by an appropriately qualified and experienced person and include: a) Calculation of chlorine tank contact time under a range of flow conditions (typical dry weather flow, moderate wet weather flow and maximum flow). b) Monitoring of effluent Enterococci and Faecal Coliform concentrations at Point 3 (upstream of the chlorine contact tanks) and downstream of the chlorine contact tank prior to discharge at Point 1. c) Comparison of disinfection efficacy with relevant standards. d) Comparison of effluent quality after the chlorine contact tank with relevant standards. The licensee must provide a must provide a report on the assessment to the EPA by 31 March 2028.
