Licence Condition
The licensee must, by 31 December 2013: a)    Provide the Manager, South East Region of the EPA, an Options Report with a recommended option, for: i.      increasing sludge digestion capacity to ensure Grade B stabilised biosolids are produced when sludge production is at a peak during holiday periods ii.      increasing sludge drying capacity to ensure adequate drying of the sludge during wet weather within a 6-month cycle b)    Utilize more effective mixer(s) and pump(s) to permit more complete removal of settled sludge solids from the sludge lagoons when transferring sludge to the sludge drying beds c)    Review current operational procedures to ensure that recycling of solids in supernatant from the sludge lagoons to the secondary treatment process is minimised; and d)    Measure and record the daily volume of sludge discharged to the sludge lagoons and test a composite sample of the sludge for total suspended solids (TSS) and (VSS).
The licensee must, by 30 June 2014: a)   Complete the design of the recommended option and provide to the Manager, South East Region of the EPA; and b)   Notify the Manager, South East Region of the EPA, of a timetable for construction.
The licensee must, by 31 March 2022, provide the Manager, South East Region of the EPA: a)  The preferred option for increasing sludge handling capacity to ensure adequate management of sludge; and b)  A timetable for construction of any necessary infrastructure.
